What are DC’s Next Hot Spots?

A recent article in the Washington Business Journal’s Onsite Magazine highlights 13 different neighborhoods in the metro DC area to keep an eye on.   Researchers have found that Generations  X and Y are putting much more emphasis on life work balance, and the majority plan to live in an urban core where they can work,  shop,  go out to eat, exercise and socialize all without getting in a car.  Developers aware of this trend and trying to stay ahead of the curve by planning major developments in close- in neighborhoods that have good public transportation and community amenities.  Some of the neighborhoods they mention are Hill East, Fort Totten, Poplar Point, Rosslyn, Columbia Pike and Mount Rainer.  To see why these and others are being identified as the next hot spots, read the full article.
